Phillies Interested In Hermida

According to MLB.com's Joe Frisaro, the Phillies are interested in Marlins outfielder Jeremy Hermida. Hermida could be a more affordable replacement for Pat Burrell. On Friday, Ken Rosenthal wrote that the Cubs and Rays were in on Hermida. Hermida, 25 in January, hit .249/.323/.406 in 559 plate appearances. He was much better in '07. His defense in right field has been slightly above average. He's arbitration-eligible for the first time, and under team control for three more seasons. Continue Reading
